About The Position

VARITE is looking for a qualified Associate Project Manager in Eugene, OR. The client is an American-headquartered life science and clinical research company, a global supplier of analytical instruments, clinical development solutions, specialty diagnostics, laboratory, pharmaceutical and biotechnology services. This is a contract position for 12 months with possible extension, located in Eugene, OR 97402 (Onsite). The pay range is $26.00/hr. to $32.00/hr. on W2. Work authorization is for US Citizens or Green Card holders only.

Requirements

  • Willing to take someone just out of college with the right life science background (must be highlighted on resume to replace work experience)
  • B.S. or B.A. in Biology/Chemistry or other life sciences program
  • 2+ years’ experience in a Customer-Facing role within the life sciences industry.
  • Must be familiar with standard and metric weight and volume units
  • Strong skills in written and verbal communications
  • Strong interpersonal cross functional team-based interaction skills
  • Strong organizational and detail orientation skills
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Intellectually curious and results oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Match packaging configurations and fill volumes for customer orders in units (milligrams, vials, kilograms, etc.).
  • Support the PMO/Customs (Project Management Organization and Customs) team by drafting custom project quotes.
  • Update the project tracking system.
  • Coordinate invoicing.
  • Provide customer and commercial project updates.
  • Have a working knowledge of standard biological technologies and units of measure, buffer formulation, cell biology, chemistry.
  • Be good with Excel, data management, manipulation, and reporting.
  • Be comfortable working in various database systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to focus and not be easily distracted.
  • Be comfortable with change and shifting priorities.
