This person, as a member of the Personalized HealthCare Solutions (PHCS) LifeCycle Team (LCT), serves as the Project Leader for high complexity Companion Diagnostics (CDx) projects from Project Start through Launch Decision. They manage the collaboration with pharmaceutical partners, drive team discussions on product quality, functionality, and schedule, and continuously improve the CDx assay and digital pathology co-development process. They also support potential pharma partnering opportunities and contribute to CDx digital pathology recommendations during early negotiations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in science, engineering or relevant area of study
  • A minimum of 9 years related work experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of related experience in the Medical Diagnostics industry
  • A minimum of 6 years in IVD Assay development
  • Strong leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams in a global, matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts, adapt to change, and drive results
  • Experience in managing complex projects with ambitious milestones in high-pressure circumstances
  • Familiarity with product changes in a regulated environment and understanding of Diagnostic Design Control processes preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide cross-functional leadership to global CDx digital pathology project teams from Project Start through Launch Decision.
  • Provide strategic insight into worldwide in vitro diagnostic and pharmaceutical markets, including product development strategies, regulatory environment, technology sources, and global commercialization.
  • Execute tailored CDx assay and digital pathology project strategy aligned with LCT objectives, addressing technical, regulatory, business, and operational needs.
  • Ensure seamless transition into later stages of development through early planning, cross-functional involvement, and effective communication.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, motivate the project team, and drive optimal cross-functional collaborations within the PHCS LCT.
