Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of accounting, construction administration, or project coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong organization, communication, follow-up, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position 95% of the time.
  • The ability to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as computer keyboards, copy machines, and computer printers.
  • The ability to occasionally lift and carry lightweight office items like supplies or equipment.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Project Accounting background with Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in Project Accounting.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Adobe Pro skills.
  • Experience working with software programs such as Sage 300 and electronic signature software.
  • Experience working on special projects.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work with various levels of people within the company as well as with external parties.
  • Experience in developing and understanding financial internal controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Sage 300 and Procore experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly billing packages for assigned projects.
  • Review subcontractor pay applications, lien waivers, and supporting documentation.
  • Track billing deadlines, missing items, approvals, waivers, and exceptions.
  • Maintain project contracts, change orders, billing records, and project files.
  • Serve as the accounting contact for assigned projects and coordinate with project teams.
  • Create, distribute, and track Job Specific Agreements (JSAs).
  • Maintain project information in Sage 300, Procore, and company systems.
  • Prepare reports, roll over files, and support ad hoc accounting initiatives.
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Payable and Accounting Clerk responsibilities as needed.
