About The Position

Support the accounting team by combining core accounting responsibilities with project-level financial administration. Help drive accurate financial reporting by monitoring job-specific metrics, including revenue recognition, costs incurred to date, and margin recognition. Play a key role in the job setup process by ensuring accurate data entry and job build information. Maintain accurate job cost records for active projects to support reliable job costing and timely updates throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with customer billing processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and reliable revenue recognition. Support the creation, modification, review, and closure of purchase orders related to project and accounts payable functions, ensuring proper coding and documentation. Assist with approved job cancellations and credit requests in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide support and backup coverage across various Accounting and Finance functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, tax filings, and other key accounting processes. Assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and other general accounting responsibilities. Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying efficiencies and implementing best practices across accounting and project accounting workflows. Support the VP of Finance with job analysis, financial reporting, audit preparation, and other reporting needs. Utilize financial and project management systems to maintain accurate records and support effective financial decision-making. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of directly related experience is a plus.
  • Experience with construction ERP systems (such as Vista) and project/job costing is a plus.
  • Construction or related industry knowledge and experience preferred.
