About The Position

Associate -Program Manager -Recognition and Engagement Lead The Students & Grads Tech team builds Capital One’s pipeline of top junior talent by delivering a program that communicates our technology innovation and impact while developing outstanding associates at the start of their careers. We are looking for an exceptional associate to support our Tech Student & Grads Alumni in a Recognition & Engagement Role. The ideal candidate will oversee the end-to-end mentorship lifecycle, developing and executing large scale events (both virtually and in-person), and have proven experience in leading projects across multiple functions. The ideal candidate will also have strong project management, organization, and communication skills, in addition to laser customer focus and meticulous attention to detail. Why You Want This Job! Requirements

  • Associate's degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience working in program or project management or at least 1 year of working in employee development or engagement or a combination of both

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least two years of experience in recruiting, human resources, or consulting
  • Experience working at a technology company
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience in Campus Programs or Recruiting
  • Proficient knowledge of G Suites including Google Slides and Google Sheets
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity when interacting with all customer contacts
  • Strong empathetic communication skills with varying levels of leaders and associates

Responsibilities

  • Own the end to end mentorship process for Students and Grads Tech encompassing allocation, training and support for all mentors for our full time associates and interns
  • Deliver a high impact graduation event twice a year marking the milestone from program associate to alumni
  • Create and maintain an Alumni Database to improve visibility of program volunteer opportunities and engage alumni of all levels across the full population totaling over 3,100 associates.
  • Create and execute a continuous recognition strategy to celebrate associate longevity and retention by honoring key alumni milestones with events and strategic touch points.
  • Manage comprehensive communications across multiple channels including team calendars, Google Sites, email, newsletters, and Slack
  • While this role is based in either McLean or Richmond, travel to either of the locations will be required 2-3 times annually (travel sponsored by by Capital One)
