About The Position

The Associate Program Manager, Field Commissioning is responsible for supporting the execution, coordination, and quality of field installation and commissioning activities. This role ensures that installations are completed in accordance with project timelines, safety standards, and operational requirements while supporting a seamless transition to clinical readiness. The Associate Program Manager works closely with program leadership, field teams, subcontractors, and cross-functional partners to support installation projects across multiple sites. This role plays a key part in maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency in field execution while contributing to process improvement and standardization efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
2–5 years of experience in project coordination, field operations, installation support, or related roles.
Experience supporting field-based projects, installations, or commissioning activities preferred.
Strong understanding of project coordination, scheduling, and execution processes.
Ability to read and interpret basic technical, construction, or installation-related documentation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% across the United States.
Ability to work in dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project tracking tools.
Experience in medical device, healthcare, or construction/installation environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Support field installation teams to ensure projects are executed in alignment with defined schedules, milestones, and customer expectations.
Assist in overseeing installation work performed by internal teams and subcontractors to ensure adherence to company procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
Participate in and lead commissioning activities, including completion of QA checklists, verification of system functionality, and confirmation of operational readiness.
Support the transition from installation to clinical readiness by verifying system setup, assisting with calibration checks, and ensuring environments meet patient-ready standards.
Travel to installation sites to observe, support, and execute field commissioning activities and best practices.
Work flexible or non-standard hours as required to support installation schedules and project timelines.
Support the coordination and execution of multiple installation projects under the direction of program leadership.
Assist with pre-installation site evaluations (virtual and onsite) to confirm readiness related to structural, spatial, and electrical requirements.
Maintain project documentation including schedules, timelines, milestones, and status updates to ensure visibility across stakeholders.
Participate in project meetings, capturing key updates, risks, and action items.
Support training of installation teams and subcontractors on installation procedures and commissioning protocols.
Apply standardized processes to ensure consistency in installation execution across sites.
Provide feedback from field observations to support continuous improvement of training materials, procedures, and workflows.
Support communication and coordination with internal teams, contractors, and customers to ensure alignment on project expectations.
Identify and escalate field issues, risks, or process gaps to program leadership.
Contribute to initiatives focused on improving installation quality, efficiency, and operational consistency.
