Requirements

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.
  • Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.
  • Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to: a.Respond sensitively and competently to the service population’s cultural and socio-economiccharacteristics. b.Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals. c.Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed tomaintain a safe environment. d.Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at alltimes. e.Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position. f.Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of amultidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science plus 5 years of progressive employment experience with a social services or childcare agency or organization.
  • Four (4) years of related experience and/or training, including progressive supervision
  • First Aid CPR Emergency Behavior Intervention Certifications
  • Must receive an annual Influenza vaccination or obtain an approved exemption as a medical or religious accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards that are applicable to this position.
  • Monitor the program through frequent observation and evaluation of program services; buildings, grounds,and equipment; staff; children and vehicles.
  • Develop proactive plans of action for every area of service assigned by the Program Director or AssociateExecutive Director/Administrator.
  • Coordinate and facilitate budget management by acting as a liaison between departments and the ProgramDirector and/or the Associate Executive Director/Administrator.
  • Provide timely feedback and support to personnel.
  • Develop and maintain personnel work schedules to ensure proper coverage and ratios.
  • Review all staff documentation to ensure it is accurate, complete, and timely.
  • Review staff personnel records to ensure going compliance with contractual and regulatory trainingrequirements.
  • Consult, provide feedback, review performance, motivate, direct and redirect subordinates.
  • Adapt schedules to needs of the program based on changing workloads and needs.
  • Organize and manage time and resources to ensure timely completion of all assignment deadlines.
  • Supervise, facilitate, and participate in child assessments and admission processes as needed.
  • Respond to outside requests for persons authorized to receive information regarding children.
  • Provide and/or supervise crisis interventions involving children and/or families as needed.
  • Monitor facility video for to ensure compliance with action plans, contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and in team decisions and operations.
  • Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by the position supervisor.
  • Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in caseof an emergency.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
  • Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in CompassConnections System employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, children, andcommunity members and complying with required dress code at all times.
  • Facilitate and/or supervise programming, treatment, and discharge of children’s placement and release asassigned.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures andcontract and regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Frequently transverse from one area of the facility to another including interior and exterior areas.
  • Meet predetermined deadlines and reporting requirements for the position.
  • Foster Care Programs - Support, encourage, and recruit foster parents.
