Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking an Associate Program Director for Transformational Technologies and Phase 1s (TTP1) to lead and manage a critical section within the Weapon Physics and Design (WPD) program. This role is responsible for anticipating design needs, delivering novel solutions to accelerate the weapons complex's design, manufacturing, production, and qualification cycles, and contributing to integrated demonstrator projects. The position also focuses on transforming experimental approaches for assessment and certification activities, developing future deterrent capabilities, and establishing the foundation for the nuclear weapon enterprise. The Associate Program Director will collaborate with senior management to develop capabilities and partnerships, enhance technical expertise, and foster staff development. This role serves as the LLNL Funding Stream Point of Contact (FSPOC) for the Stockpile Responsiveness Program (SRP) in NA-115, aiming to exercise all phases of the nuclear weapons life cycle, transfer capabilities to the next generation, demonstrate capabilities through prototyping and testing, shorten design and manufacturing cycles, and integrate NNSA and DoD/DoW processes. This position requires full-time on-site presence.
