Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking an Associate Program Director for Transformational Technologies and Phase 1s (TTP1) to lead and manage the TTP1 section of the Weapon Physics and Design (WPD) program. This role is crucial for anticipating design needs and delivering novel solutions to accelerate the weapons complex's design, manufacturing, production, and qualification cycles. The portfolio also includes physics contributions to integrated demonstrator projects and technologies that transform experimental approaches for assessment and certification activities. The Associate Program Director will collaborate with the WPD senior management team to develop capabilities and partnerships, enhance technical expertise, and develop staff, reporting programmatically to the Program Director for Future Deterrent within WPD. Additionally, this position serves as the LLNL Funding Stream Point of Contact (FSPOC) for the Stockpile Responsiveness Program (SRP) in NA-115, aiming to exercise all phases of the nuclear weapons life cycle, transfer capabilities to the next generation, demonstrate capabilities through prototyping and testing, shorten design and manufacturing cycles, and exercise NNSA and DoD/DoW integration processes. This position requires full-time on-site presence.
