About The Position

The Associate, Program and Impact (P&I) is a critical role designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our grantmaking teams. Robin Hood’s grantmaking aligns with life stage milestones for economic mobility from early childhood to adulthood. This role will support two P&I grantmaking teams, Early Childhood and School-Age Children, and report to each team’s managing director. The role will work in close collaboration with the program officers and senior program officers who make up each team. Critical components of Robin Hood’s grantmaking approach include due diligence to deeply understand the work of nonprofits, either as new applicants for funding or as current grantees; data collection and analysis to understand the impact of each grant investment; and the application of a benefit/cost approach to frame our funding decisions. Other important elements include conducting landscape analyses to keep abreast of sector trends and identifying potential new areas of work in the fight against poverty. The Associate will play a key role in ensuring the rigor and impact of our grantmaking.
