About The Position

The Associate Professor (MD) will provide comprehensive surgical care to trauma patients while supporting the clinical, educational, and academic missions of the department. Responsibilities include direct patient care, medical education, and participation in research and scholarly collaborations that advance clinical medicine. Additional responsibilities may vary based on the needs of the position, discipline, and division.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. required.
  • General Surgery Residency Training.
  • ACGME-accredited Surgery Trauma Fellowship.
  • Eligible for Arkansas Medical License.
  • American Board of Surgery eligible.
  • DEA License or eligible.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination, continuity, and consistency in patient care.
  • Perform varied responsibilities in the area of patient care and medical education.
  • Participate in medical teaching and research collaborations.
  • Engage in clinical care and/or scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine are to be included.
  • Provide instruction to many individuals on a daily basis in a variety of methodologies. Including but not limited to didactic, bedside, and clinical educational experiences.
  • Promote academic excellence and promote the health & wellness of Arkansans.
