About The Position

The Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is seeking a dedicated and experienced Psychiatrist with expertise and interest in treating Fragile X patients. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive psychiatric care in the Fragile X Center, a world leading Fragile X clinic, to support expansion of our therapy services. This role involves diagnosing and treating patients with Fragile X and patients with a wide range of mental health conditions, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care. The facility is designed to offer a supportive environment with private patient rooms and various therapeutic spaces. As CCHMC continues to grow its regional, national, and international presence, clinicians may be asked to work at locations outside of the Burnet Campus.

Requirements

M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree
Current active medical license issued by the State of Ohio or eligible for license
Appropriate medical credentialing through the Medical Staff Services offices
Completion of all required pre-employment activities
Associate Professor appointment or eligibility required
Generally requires a minimum of five years of service at the Assistant Professor rank

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for inpatient admissions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for acute psychiatric conditions.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care providers.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and family consultations.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Engage in continuous professional development and stay current with advancements in the field.
