About The Position

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto are inviting applications for the position of Chief, Adult Neurodevelopment Division at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The Adult Neurodevelopment Division supports outpatient, outreach and consultation liaison services for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders including intellectual disability and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and co-occurring mental illnesses across the lifespan. The successful candidate will join a team of exceptional clinicians, teachers and researchers, pursuing research in translational neuroscience, interventions’ research, and epidemiology. The candidate will be dedicated to excellence in clinical care, teaching and research and to recruiting and developing the next generation of clinicians, teachers, educators and researchers. The candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in complex organizations. The successful candidate will lead a passionate, connected and growing division with significant existing resources, including internal and external funding. The Division Chief will be a key member of both the clinical and academic leadership teams at CAMH, working collaboratively to ensure the successful integration of clinical care, teaching and research into all aspects of the organization. The Division Chief will represent CAMH at local, provincial, and national tables on all matters related to adult neurodevelopmental disorders and work collaboratively with other organizations in the greater Toronto region and Ontario.

Requirements

  • Hold a graduate degree and a Doctor of Medicine (MD).
  • Be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Be licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
  • Be eligible for academic appointment in the Department of Psychiatry, at the University of Toronto.
  • English language proficiency is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience working in complex organizations.
