About The Position

Binghamton University, a premier public R1 research institution in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position at the Associate Professor level in the School of Management (SOM). The SOM holds separate AACSB accreditations in Business and Accounting and is recognized for developing future business leaders. The Finance faculty has a strong record of scholarly achievement, publishing in leading journals. The undergraduate Finance program has received national recognition for its success in preparing students for high-paying careers. The School offers bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. programs and consistently ranks among the top business schools for its undergraduate and graduate programs. The Finance PhD program graduates have secured placements in academic institutions. The School is proposing a new undergraduate program in Asset Management and seeks candidates with an established record of high-quality research in asset management and investments, particularly with an international focus, who are interested in contributing to this new program.

Requirements

A Ph.D. in Finance or a closely related field.
A track record of scholarly research in Asset Management.

Responsibilities

Provide academic leadership for the proposed undergraduate program in Asset Management.
Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in asset management, investments, and related areas.
Support the professional development and career placement of students in the Asset Management program, including engagement with employers and industry professionals.
Maintain an active, high-quality research program with the expectation of publishing in leading finance and related academic journals.
Contribute to the school, university, and profession through service, including active participation in committees, shared governance, program assessment, and other appropriate professional activities.
