About The Position

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus Department of Pediatrics | Section of Genetics & Metabolism is seeking an Associate Professor of Clinical Practice. This role involves providing clinical care to patients with genetic and metabolic diseases, working collaboratively with faculty and team members. The successful candidate will join a team of ten clinical geneticists, eleven genetic counselors, and administrative staff in a thriving academic medical center with regional satellite clinics. The primary focus will be on clinical care within the general genetics clinic.

Requirements

• Medical Degree
• Board Certified in Clinical Genetics and Genomics
• Six or more years of clinical experience
• Must successfully pass a drug test through Children’s Hospital Colorado
• Willing and able to pass a national criminal background check
• Requires reliable transportation to satellite clinics.

Nice To Haves

• 6 year(s) of prior experience supporting Peds Genetics patient population
• Clinical experience with children or adolescents with genetic disorders and inborn errors of metabolism
• Clinical experience in an academic medical center environment

Responsibilities

• Provide professional clinical services to outpatient and inpatient patients with known or suspected genetic disorders and inborn errors of metabolism.
• Share on-call responsibilities with the other genetics faculty.
• Participate in the education of genetic residents, medical students, pediatric residents, and genetic counseling students.
