Are you an accountant looking for a change and want to be considered for an exciting role in Custodial Accounting? Join our team as Associate Professional, Operations Accounting. Our team is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate account reconciliations for bank accounts and activities associated with the processing of $350 billion in annual real estate related custodial disbursements. You will use your analytical and critical thinking skills to mitigate risks and protect the clients and Cotality. The Custodial Professional Accountant role is a role responsible for ensuring timely and accurate account reconciliations for bank accounts and activities associated with the processing of $350 billion in annual real estate related custodial disbursements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of related experience with knowledge of working in Oracle or similar ERP system needed.
  • Bank Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation are required.
  • Understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
  • A proven track record in meeting deadlines, and working collaboratively as part of a team are essential.
  • Solid Excel skills (experience with Vlookup and PivotTables)
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written; working with business and IT partners, clients, offshore partners, and various leadership levels.
  • Excellent analytical; critical thinking and organizational skills with attention to details.
  • Strong problem-solving skills in a fast paced, high transaction, and high dollar environment
  • Must be able to thrive in a very fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to multi-task exceptionally well, reconcile activity, adapt to change, support project testing and facilitate superior customer experience for internal and external clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, monitors, and reviews bank account and other reconciliations ensuring timely, accurate, complete, and consistent work with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation and reporting task assignments- bank account reconciliations, journal entries, cash management, bi-monthly and monthly close, footnote disclosures, and other tasks as required.
  • Ensures that all reporting is in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Ensures that all activities are recorded and balanced timely and accurately, and that financial systems are utilized and understood in accordance with company policies, internal controls, and sound business practices.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and maintain positive attitude; Accurate review of bank reconciliations, identifying issues and implement resolution.
  • Partners for successful implementation on designated projects- performs testing and drives desired results.
  • Addresses and resolves issues promptly working with IT and business partners driving performance excellence and excellent customer service as well as mitigating risk of negative impact.
  • Monitors and ensures Reg AB and other regulatory compliance as well as Cyber Security and Client SLA compliance.
