About The Position

We're looking for an Associate Production Engineer to support manufacturing operations, process development, and continuous improvement initiatives for aerospace and industrial gas turbine components. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes, improve quality and productivity, and support the introduction of new products and technologies that drive business performance. At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. Whether you're improving processes, supporting operations, solving technical challenges, or driving business performance, your contributions help keep aircraft flying safely around the world.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0-3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing, production, or design environments.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and delivering results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience working with high-temperature materials, superalloys, or related manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or design thinking methodologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs, process optimization, and root cause analysis techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing operations and production processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize manufacturing processes that meet quality, cost, performance, and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and operational objectives.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to measure process and product performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tooling, and equipment using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Monitor daily quality and productivity results and respond to operational issues as they arise.
  • Lead and support engineering projects from development through implementation and completion.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Deliver presentations and communicate project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
