About The Position

As an Associate Product Manager on Pearl Health's Data Platform team, you will help build and maintain the infrastructure that every engineering team at Pearl depends on. The platform processes healthcare claims, clinical signals, and vendor data at scale, enabling teams across Analytics, Operations, and Engineering to move faster and with more confidence. You will own day-to-day product operations for Team 3, including writing specs, managing the backlog, running sprint ceremonies, and coordinating with cross-functional partners. Your work will directly support initiatives in developer enablement, data quality, security controls, and ingestion tracking. This is a high-impact role for someone early in their product career who wants to learn fast, work on real infrastructure problems, and grow into a stronger PM. You will report directly to an experienced product leader, work closely with senior engineers, and see the results of your work in production.Pearl Health powers the future of healthcare, helping primary care providers and organizations deliver quality care to patients and get rewarded for keeping patients healthy. Since its founding in 2020, Pearl has expanded to partner with thousands of primary care providers across 44 states, with investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Viking Global Investors, AlleyCorp, and SV Angel.The Associate Product Manager will specifically support the Data Platform team (Team 3), which builds and maintains the core infrastructure for reliable data movement. This involves working alongside a senior PM and engineering leads to manage day-to-day product responsibilities, such as defining requirements, writing specs, running sprint ceremonies, tracking delivery, and keeping cross-functional partners informed. The platform handles data ingestion, compute orchestration, data contracts, storage standards, and workflow management, directly affecting how quickly and safely Pearl processes healthcare data across all programs. Near-term priorities for the role include building a Data Operations UI, improving local integration testing for engineers, standing up an ingestion registry, and supporting security and compliance controls for PHI.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of product management, technical program management, or related experience.
  • Experience working on technical products.
  • Comfort with data systems, APIs, or infrastructure.
  • Ability to write clearly and communicate well across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to stay organized under pressure and keep multiple workstreams moving.
  • Asks good questions and seeks context before jumping to solutions.
  • Desire to learn how healthcare data works and why it matters.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at an early-stage or growth-stage startup.
  • Exposure to healthcare, value-based care, or CMS data.

Responsibilities

  • Own portions of the Team 3 backlog, keeping tickets clear, prioritized, and up to date.
  • Write product specs and requirements documents for platform improvements.
  • Run sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives with engineering.
  • Track delivery against the roadmap, flagging risks and blockers early.
  • Coordinate with Data Ingest (Team 5), Analytics, and Operations teams on shared dependencies.
  • Document platform workflows, data contracts, and decision rationale.
  • Investigate and triage data issues, helping determine root cause and next steps.
  • Prepare status updates and summaries for leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Support initiatives in developer enablement, data quality, security controls, and ingestion tracking.
  • Help build and maintain the infrastructure that every engineering team at Pearl depends on.
