About The Position

This role involves conducting market and product trend research to support new development projects. The Associate Product Manager will assist in preparing and presenting project deliverables for the NPD Stage Gate process and ensure communication of initiatives across departments. The position also supports product portfolio management by updating Value Profile data and maintaining visual displays of product status. A key responsibility is developing and maintaining an understanding of the core product offering and collaborating with purchasing and quality control to resolve product concerns. The role also involves working with the Design & D&E team to integrate new features into new developments. Travel is required for this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Market/Product trend research (inspiration, function price) in support of new development projects in Forward Plan.
• Supports and participates in preparation and presentation of project deliverables required by NPD Stage Gate process.
• Ensures NPD initiatives are communicated to cross functional departments as necessary throughout organization (beyond 'gated' process).
• Assists with Product Portfolio management by updating the Value Profile support data and maintaining visual display of Promote/Support/Retire product, by category and Value Profile tier as required.
• Develops and maintains an understanding of core product offering.
• Works with corporate purchasing and quality control to understand and resolve product concerns negatively impacting customer experience.
• Collaborates with Design & D&E team to incorporate new / updated function and or features into new developments.
