About The Position

The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for conducting market and product trend research to support new development projects. This role involves supporting the NPD Stage Gate process, communicating initiatives across departments, and assisting with product portfolio management. The Associate Product Manager will also develop an understanding of core product offerings and collaborate with purchasing and quality control to resolve product concerns. Additionally, this role will work with the Design & D&E team to incorporate new features into product developments. Travel is required at 10%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Market/Product trend research (inspiration, function price) in support of new development projects in Forward Plan.
• Supports and participates in preparation and presentation of project deliverables required by NPD Stage Gate process.
• Ensures NPD initiatives are communicated to cross functional departments as necessary throughout organization (beyond 'gated' process).
• Assists with Product Portfolio management by updating the Value Profile support data and maintaining visual display of Promote/Support/Retire product, by category and Value Profile tier as required.
• Develops and maintains an understanding of core product offering.
• Works with corporate purchasing and quality control to understand and resolve product concerns negatively impacting customer experience.
• Collaborates with Design & D&E team to incorporate new / updated function and/or features into new developments.
