About The Position

Funnel Leasing Inc. is hiring for an Associate Product Manager. As an Associate Product Manager, you will join the Occupancy Lifecycle — Legal & Contracts team. This team builds and maintains a reliable, compliant, and intuitive lease management system that enables multifamily operators to generate, present, and sign accurate lease documents with confidence. In this role, you will be the primary product owner for the legal and contracts pod and will work with the support of experienced Product, Engineering, Design, and cross-functional partners to improve the systems and workflows behind legal document generation, lease packages, variables, signatures, templates, notices, renewals, transfers, terms of service, and related communications. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their product career who is highly organized, curious, detail-oriented, technically minded, and eager to grow in a complex, high-trust product area. You do not need to arrive as an expert in leasing or legal technology, but you should be excited to learn the domain, ask thoughtful questions, and turn customer and business needs into clear, well-scoped product work. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000.

Requirements

  • Excellent organization and follow-through across multiple stakeholders, decisions, and dependencies.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn unfamiliar products, workflows, and technical concepts.
  • Ability to break a problem into manageable parts, ask sharp clarifying questions, and validate assumptions.
  • Comfort working collaboratively with Engineering, Design and Customer facing teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when accuracy, compliance, customer commitments, and operational impact matter.
  • Openness to feedback and a demonstrated ability to apply it.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate risk.
  • Customer-oriented judgment and empathy for both multifamily operators and renters.
  • Experience leveraging AI within the product management/SDLC lifecycle

Responsibilities

  • Own discovery, planning, delivery, and iteration for Legal & Contracts initiatives with support from senior product, engineering and design leaders.
  • Own clearly scoped features and improvements from problem definition through launch and post-launch follow-up.
  • Learn and document end-to-end workflows for lease generation, document presentation, electronic signatures, templates, addenda, notices, renewals, transfers, and related applicant communications.
  • Gather and synthesize input from customers, Customer Experience, Support, Implementation, Legal, Strategy, Engineering, Design, and other product teams.
  • Translate requirements, regulations, contractual commitments, and workflow needs into clear product documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design to clarify requirements, answer questions, participate in team rituals, and keep work moving.
  • Help identify dependencies, risks, and downstream impacts across property management system integrations, third-party document and signature providers, configuration, and customer workflows.
  • Own backlog management, roadmap preparation, prioritization discussions, sprint planning, demos, release readiness, and stakeholder updates.
  • Participate in quality assurance and exploratory testing, with particular attention to document accuracy, configuration, permissions, failure states, and jurisdictional differences.
  • Use product data, customer feedback, support trends, and defect patterns to identify opportunities and evaluate outcomes.
  • Triage and respond to product bugs, customer escalations, and other urgent issues by clarifying impact, coordinating with cross-functional partners, communicating status, and driving timely resolution and follow-up.
