Associate Product Manager

Scan.comNew York, NY
$110,000 - $120,000Hybrid

About The Position

We’re Scan.com, the digital health scale-up making diagnostics accessible, fast, and transparent. Our technology speeds up diagnoses for timely treatments, improving healthcare outcomes for hundreds of patients each day. We're doing diagnostics differently, with solutions tailored to both patients and providers, all backed by our technology and world-class customer operations team. Our B2C marketplace simplifies booking a scan, making it as straightforward for patients as booking a hotel. Our B2B platforms provide live scheduling at the point of care and harness AI to ease workflows for physicians, attorneys, and providers. We're building America's national imaging network: the infrastructure that connects patients, providers, and payers to faster, better-value diagnostic imaging. Thousands of patients move through our platform every day, and each is a real person waiting for an answer to a healthcare concern. We exist to get them that answer faster. We manage the medical imaging pathway end-to-end. Providers order through a single point of entry, and from there, we run the entire medical diagnostic pathway. Managing the full pathway, rather than brokering pieces of it, is what lets us deliver imaging faster, at higher quality, and at a lower cost than the fragmented status quo. We're looking for an Associate Product Manager at an exciting time. We've raised over $200m in funding to date, reached profitability, and are growing 100% year on year. Millions of people wait too long for a diagnosis. Come help us fix that.

Requirements

  • One to four years of total professional experience. That time could have been spent in an APM or Associate role at another company, in an adjacent role with real product surface area (founder, early operator, technical or design contributor with product ownership), or in a different discipline you are now pivoting from. What matters here is total career stage, not just product career stage: this program is built for early-career professionals
  • Deep familiarity with the discipline of product management. You have gone well beyond the introductory content and can speak concretely about frameworks and specific approaches you use. You are ready to be assessed as someone with 1,000+ hours of intentional development in the craft.
  • AI-native skills as a baseline. You are past the "AI as prompt assistant" stage. Your PM workflow, including discovery, research synthesis, data analysis, drafting, prototyping, competitive scans, and evaluation of AI outputs themselves, has been rebuilt around AI as a core instrument. You can demonstrate this concretely, and you will be asked to. Applicants still learning to prompt effectively will not be competitive.
  • Strong analytical instincts. You've directly queried raw data to solve business problems.
  • Excellent written communication. You can turn a fuzzy problem into a clear PRD, and you value outstanding exposition.
  • A trajectory-first mindset. You see this program as one step on a longer path toward product leadership or founding.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience or a genuine interest in healthcare technology, medical imaging, marketplaces, or interoperability is a plus, though not required

Responsibilities

  • Own a defined slice of a product team's roadmap under the guidance of a senior PM, taking work from problem discovery through shipped outcomes
  • Write PRDs, run discovery and user research, and partner with engineering, design, and operations to translate ambiguous problems into concrete product decisions
  • Contribute to prioritization and roadmap conversations
  • Instrument what you ship, track outcomes rigorously, and close the loop between what launched and what changed
  • Use AI as a first-class instrument across the full PM workflow, including discovery synthesis, data analysis, PRD drafting, prototype exploration, competitive analysis, and quality evaluation.
  • Develop deep substance in healthtech and medical imaging, building the informed product judgment that separates competent PMs from great ones in this domain
  • Grow into full PM ownership over the course of the program, with a clear line of sight to the next role

Benefits

  • Salary range of $110,000 - $120,000
  • Flexible remote or hybrid work options
  • Dedicated personal development budget
  • Medical, vision, and dental coverage
  • 28+ days of paid time off across PTO and wellbeing days, so you can show up at your best
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401k retirement plan
  • All the equipment you need to do your best work
  • Inclusive, people-first policies designed by our team, for our team
