About The Position

The Associate Product Developer is responsible for managing the development of private‑label products within their assigned category. With the support of the Senior Product Developer, you will own product development including cost negotiations, sample tracking and review, time and actions from concept through adoption. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational product development skills while gaining additional experience and confidence.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in product development, design, production, or a related role in garment manufacturing.
Experience with Flex PLM (preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (MS Office Suite).
Working knowledge of raw materials and garment construction.
Experience working with international manufacturers.
Strong problem solving, negotiation, organization and time management skills; ability to multi-task.
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

Support the development of products that meet cost, quality and brand standards under the guidance of the Senior Product Developer.
Create, update and maintain accurate tech packs in the PLM system.
Communicate with global vendor base to negotiate costing, minimums, and time and action tracking, etc. throughout the product’s life cycle.
Track product development milestones and calendar deliverables (prototypes, color, sample yardage, testing, etc.).
Place developed and adopted styles in alignment with the Sourcing Strategy.
Review garment and fabric test results and escalate issues as needed.
Attend weekly cross functional meetings to discuss open/pending issues.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
