About The Position

Audax Private Debt partners with leading private equity firms to finance the purchase of middle market companies. They provide senior loans, unitranche loans, and junior capital, along with co-investments in equity securities. The team sources opportunities directly from financial sponsors across North America, focusing on leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and debt recapitalizations. They emphasize a long-term perspective in their financing and portfolio decisions and have a proven track record of assisting private equity firms in acquiring and growing businesses. The team is based in New York City, comprises over 50 investment professionals, and boasts a leadership team with an average of 25 years of investment experience since inception.

Requirements

  • 1-4 years of experience in investment banking or direct lending
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated desire to learn
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating and screening new investment opportunities
  • Conducting industry and business due diligence
  • Creating or reviewing financial models
  • Assessing alternative deal structures
  • Managing all aspects of a transaction from start to finish
  • Monitoring portfolio companies
  • Interacting with executive management teams of new investment opportunities and Audax Private Debt portfolio companies
  • Participating in all elements of deal review and the investment committee process
  • Having a high level of interaction with senior leadership
