About The Position

The Associate Principal works closely with the principal in directing and supervising a successful teaching-learning program within a specified campus. This role involves administering personnel responsibilities, maintaining building facilities, leading student activities, serving as textbook custodian, preparing weekly bulletins, assisting with community information, attending school functions, and performing other duties as assigned by the building principal. Performance is evaluated according to the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Requirements

  • Master's degree
  • Mid-management certification ILD or AEL
  • T-Tess Certification
  • Successful teaching experience

Responsibilities

  • Administer assigned personnel responsibilities in an efficient and orderly manner.
  • Assume the responsibility for the proper maintenance and use of building facilities.
  • Assume leadership in such student activities as assigned to him/her by the school principal.
  • Serve as textbook custodian for a specified campus.
  • Prepare and distribute a general bulletin each week.
  • Assist the building principal in community information matters.
  • Attend school functions as directed by the principal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal.
  • Supervise school transportation for the specified campus.
  • Supervise the student insurance program.
  • Supervise data processing service student identification cards.
  • Supervise the free and reduced lunch program.
