About The Position

The Associate Practice Administrator (APA) for Family Medicine reports to and works collaboratively with the Practice Administrator & Chairperson to be responsible for the success of the Department of Family Medicine with the goal of achieving long-term business growth, fiscal responsibility, and patient access. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing outpatient clinics through direct reports, assuring that quality care services are provided in a productive and fiscally responsible manner, including access to care, service quality, patient satisfaction, agreed-upon quality measures, and strategic alignment with the organization’s goals. The APA will work with other leadership to facilitate staff engagement, develop and mentor personnel, and develop collaborative relationships throughout the organization for the enhancement of the department. The APA will also assist the Practice Administrator in managing physician compensation, developing operational and financial reporting mechanisms to support process improvement, and develop budget strategies to include efficiency of performance within the clinic and academic environments. The APA will provide recommendations for improvement in operational processes and financial integrity, including billing processes and cost control in partnership with the Accounting Department. This position will support other duties as needed in the operational and administrative needs of LLUHC and LLUFMG.
