OSAM is a leading provider of Custom Indexing services via its Canvas® platform which offers financial advisors an unprecedented level of control and ease in creating and managing personalized separately managed accounts (SMAs) that target improved after-tax outcomes. OSAM is hiring an Associate Portfolio Manager (APM) to join our Investment Team. The position location could be Stamford, CT, or New York City with hybrid work schedule. The APM will support the broader Investment Team in maximizing the tax efficiency of long-short and long-only equity portfolios by continually evaluating portfolio performance, risk, and tax parameters.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize projects and work collaboratively with teams.
  • Some experience managing portfolios, utilizing risk models, optimization, and/or quantitative portfolio construction.
  • Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Practical experience and knowledge of computational methods like regression, optimization, statistical analyses, etc.
  • Coding Skills, for example: Python, SQL.
  • Candidates should be detail oriented and process driven.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • CFA designation preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in quantitative portfolio management, extension strategies (i.e. 130/30), long/short, or market neutral is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily portfolio management duties for long-short and long-only passive, factor, and active portfolios, including monitoring, transitioning, and rebalancing.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our diagnostic, analytical, and research platforms for monitoring accounts.
  • Work with our Portfolio Managers, analysts, and developers to maintain and refine our tax management and portfolio construction processes.
  • Monitoring portfolios for adherence to client-driven mandates and risk and tax budgets
  • Work daily with our Portfolio Solutions and Client Service teams to facilitate trading in client accounts.
  • Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to the broader team.
