Contributes to the overall success of MD Financial Management and MD Private Investment Counsel in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Associate Portfolio Manager (APM) occupies a key role within MD Financial Management. The APM’s primary responsibility is to provide client relationship management for discretionary portfolio management services offered to higher net worth MD clients, in accordance with MD Private Investment Counsel’s (MD PIC) investment counselling process. On an ongoing basis, the APM is responsible for the day-to-day relationship management of all clients based on MD PIC service standards, to ensure all portfolios are compliant with the clients’ Investment Policy Statements and to maintain an ongoing relationship with MD’s Financial Consultants. You will also assist MD clients and their families in achieving their personal financial goals. Working as a partner with MD’s Specialist Advisors, you will leverage your years of experience and strong client focus to lead and/or contribute to comprehensive financial plans and specific investment strategies for clients. You will identify and develop new opportunities to prospect and grow the client base, while ensuring retention of clients through strong relationship building and the development of comprehensive financial plans.
