The Associate Pharmacy Care Technician will support the implementation and execution of pharmacy programs and processes, assist pharmacy staff with operational responsibilities, and troubleshoot member issues identified during outreach calls. This position may also serve as a subject matter expert for the Pharmacy team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- 1+ years of computer proficiency experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, etc.)
- Completion of related BOCES program OR 6+ months of experience in a medical environment (in a professional or educational setting)
- Ability to work independently and maintain good judgment and accountability
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines
- Ability to travel to these two offices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak clearly and concisely, conveying information in a manner that others can understand, as well as ability to understand and interpret information from others

Responsibilities
- Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
- Verifies medication stock and updates inventory data in our purchasing system to maintain inventory records within our central pharmacy
- Responsible for central inventory stock rotation and filling stock requests for the different areas of the practice
- Monitors backorders and works with other departments to find substitutions
- Monitors department usages and is responsible for distribution of bulk orders
- Assists the central mixing Pharmacists with administrative tasks, as needed to maintain compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
