About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications, while working with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It involves balancing customer service and branch growth, handling cash and teller transactions, and delivering accurate, compliant service within defined risk controls. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The schedule includes Saturdays, and the employee will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. Loan Originators must meet applicable LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards, and may be subject to credit-report review and additional ongoing screening. Base pay is $21.00–$28.00, with possible incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect customers with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support branch growth and customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Coordinate with branch teammates and make seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and help remediate issues as appropriate.
