About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch in the Augusta District. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools. Responsibilities include supporting account openings, service requests, and credit applications, as well as cash handling and teller activities. The role works closely with branch teammates to provide accurate, compliant service and a consistent customer experience, and offers training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The schedule will include Saturdays. The employee will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on service through account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the employee’s start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Posting locations are Evans Crossing in Evans, Georgia, and Augusta Exchange in Augusta, Georgia.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Must comply with applicable policies and regulations and identify and escalate risk concerns.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and meeting accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and ability to guide customers in adopting useful capabilities.

Perform cash handling and teller line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Support branch operations by flexing between cash handling and customer banking activities, including account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance policies and procedures, escalate and remediate issues, and make sound risk decisions.
