About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch in San Luis Obispo, California. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while working with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Strong relationship building, sound judgment, and the ability to balance service with growth are important to success. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The position involves both cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support. The schedule includes Saturdays. SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the registration process after the employee’s start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies and applicable screening standards.

Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
