About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch in Juneau, Alaska. This frontline role builds customer relationships and supports everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with suitable banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while collaborating with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It combines customer service and growth responsibilities and requires relationship-building, sound judgment, and adherence to risk controls. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career development and mobility. The schedule includes Saturdays. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo standards regarding financial responsibility, character, fitness, and background screening.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and applicable Wells Fargo standards, including requirements related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships through proactive conversations that support financial well-being and deepen engagement.
Understand customer needs and connect customers with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately and in accordance with compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Coordinate with branch teammates to provide seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities to support branch operations, with emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and help remediate risk and compliance issues.
