About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch in Hot Springs, South Dakota. This frontline role builds customer relationships by supporting everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while coordinating with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It combines relationship building and growth activities with accurate service, cash handling, and compliance with operational and risk standards. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The schedule will include Saturdays. The employee must obtain SAFE registration at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date. Loan originators must meet applicable LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards, which may include review of a credit report and additional ongoing screening. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Must comply with applicable Wells Fargo risk, compliance, and operational requirements.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and meeting accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and ability to guide customers in adopting useful digital capabilities.

Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities to support branch operations, account openings, and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and remediate issues as required.
