About The Position

The Permanente Dental Group is a Northwest-based, dentist-owned group practice dedicated to transforming lives through evidence-based dental care. They empower clinicians to prioritize patient health and well-being, fostering an environment for growth, leadership, and potential ownership. This role involves supporting the practice with the full scope of periodontics, including preventing, diagnosing, and treating diseases of the supporting tissues of the teeth, placing dental implants, and educating patients on preventive measures. The position also includes clinical leadership responsibilities such as mentoring and supervising staff, and professional leadership focused on high-quality care and resource stewardship. The position is based at KP Dental at Keizer Station and the Aloha Dental Office.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and successful completion of a U.S. residency training program in Periodontics.
  • Must meet the Oregon Board of Dentistry (OBD) requirements for surgically placing implants, in effect Jan. 1, 2024.
  • Minimum qualifications include an applicable State License with specialty noted (if required by state).
  • Washington and Oregon providers must have a valid DEA number and current CPR certification.
  • Oregon providers must also have at least a Nitrous Permit (Permit required within 60 days of hire).
  • Demonstrated ability to use evidence-based dentistry to educate patients on periodontal disease prevention and the causes and treatment of oral health conditions.
  • Proven ability to coordinate, supervise, or manage the activities of others to accomplish goals.
  • Understanding of principles and processes for providing patient services.

Responsibilities

  • Prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases of the supporting and surrounding tissues of the teeth and their substitutes, including the placement of dental implants.
  • Maintain and restore the health, function, and esthetics of periodontal structures and tissues.
  • Educate patients on evidence-based preventive measures to support long-term periodontal and overall oral wellness.
  • As a clinical leader, provide direct and indirect mentoring, supervision, and feedback to clinical staff.
  • As a professional leader, provide high-quality care and serve as a responsible steward of resources.
