About The Position
Aksia is an alternative assets specialist, providing bespoke investment solutions for institutional investors globally. Our business provides clients with advisory, investment management, and research services across private credit, private equity, real assets, and hedge funds. As of March 31, 2026, Aksia advises on over $338bn and manages $36bn of client capital. Aksia is seeking an associate to join our Pan-Alternatives team. The Pan-Alternatives team at Aksia is responsible for developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with a variety of sophisticated investors, by bringing together the resources of the firm for the benefit of each client. The team not only works with existing clients on the development and implementation of their alternative investment portfolios but is also the central point for the marketing and business development efforts of the firm’s various business lines. This position is based in Aksia’s New York or San Diego office and will include regular interaction with global colleagues, clients, and prospects.
Requirements
- 2-6 years of experience across private markets, ideally in an investment or client facing role
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills
- Highly motivated and organized with excellent project management skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage deliverables independently
- Attentive to detail
- Positive attitude, team player and strong work ethic
Responsibilities
- Assisting with client meeting preparation for both existing and prospective clients, including presentations and other ad-hoc projects
- Developing knowledge and expertise of new managers, strategies and investment opportunities to help clients meet their specific objectives
- Tracking, coordinating and completing ongoing client deliverables
- Liaising with internal teams to complete ad-hoc client projects
- Supporting senior colleagues with marketing initiatives
- Maintaining and developing firm marketing materials
- Developing a robust network of prospective clients in a given area of focus
