About The Position

The Associate Ophthalmic Assistant performs preliminary screening examinations and/or tests to facilitate diagnosis and treatment by the provider. They also assist the physician with procedures and patient care, collecting subjective and objective ophthalmic data from the patient or caregiver and communicating this data to the doctor.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support Certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • High School graduate is preferred.
  • Will provide training and education for required skills.
  • Previous health care experience or training in ophthalmology, optometry, and/or optical office preferred.
