About The Position

The Associate Operator, Packaging supports manufacturing and packaging operations by assisting with production equipment setup and operation, inspecting products and processes, maintaining clean work areas, and completing production documentation. The role also assists with training new personnel and performs equipment calibration as instructed. The position requires physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks involving standing or sitting for extended periods, stooping, and climbing ladders or stairs. Requirements

High school diploma.
Good mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stoop, climb ladders or stairs, and stand or sit for extended periods.
Ability to wear a respirator.
Ability to hear an alarm.
Ability to identify small defects.
Ability to distinguish between colors.

Nice To Haves

Up to two years of experience is preferred; a combination of experience and/or education will be considered.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect products during operation and monitor equipment and processes for proper operation; seek maintenance assistance for problems and recommend improvements.
Assist with setup and operation of production equipment.
Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection, and keep the work area clean and orderly.
Ensure products are properly labeled and stored.
Document material runs using Batch Production records, In-Process Sheets, Logbooks, and Time Sheets.
Assist in training new personnel in manufacturing operations under the supervisor’s guidance.
Perform calibration of scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, and other equipment as instructed.
