About The Position

The Associate Operator, Finishing performs tasks related to the final stages of product assembly and packaging, helping ensure quality and efficiency in the production process. The role operates and monitors finishing equipment, inspects finished products, makes basic machine adjustments, and packages products to customer and company specifications. It also involves maintaining production records, following safety procedures, collaborating with team members, keeping the work area organized, and participating in continuous improvement and training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operating machinery and making minor adjustments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor finishing equipment, including deburring machines, polishing machines, and packaging equipment.
• Inspect finished products for defects and verify that they meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Perform basic machine adjustments, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Package finished products according to customer and company specifications, including labeling and boxing.
• Maintain accurate production records, including quantities, quality checks, and downtime.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production flow and address issues.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to 5S principles.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs.
