Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Emergency Department
About The Position
This role involves providing proficient, person-centred nursing care while supporting the leadership and coordination of the emergency department team. The Associate Nurse Unit Manager will assist with patient flow, service coordination, practice improvement, and day-to-day operational activities. They will contribute to clinical teaching, quality improvement, and evidence-based care initiatives. Additionally, the role includes providing guidance and support to less experienced staff, contributing to portfolio responsibilities, and promoting safe, responsive, and high-quality emergency care.
Requirements
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia with a current practising certificate.
- Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in nursing practice.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork skills within a clinical environment.
- Experience supporting and guiding student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
- Satisfactory Criminal History Check.
- Immunisation compliance.
