About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Associate Nurse Manager I for Perioperative Services in the Operating Room. Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in Oregon (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
  • Minimum 5+ years of nursing experience, with at least 3 years in perioperative/OR nursing
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
  • BScN or equivalent nursing degree required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and best practices
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Happy Valley, OR
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Must-Have Requirements
  • Current, valid RN license in Oregon
  • Minimum 3 years of perioperative nursing experience
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing management or leadership experience
  • Ability to work full-time, onsite position

Nice To Haves

  • CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room) certification
  • MSN degree or higher nursing degree
  • Experience in a large medical center or integrated healthcare system
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and OR management software
  • Lean/Six Sigma or other process improvement training

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct oversight and leadership to perioperative nursing staff, including RNs and surgical technicians
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, patient safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in the OR setting
  • Monitor staffing levels and scheduling to maintain operational efficiency and staff satisfaction
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Implement evidence-based practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives within the perioperative environment
  • Conduct staff evaluations, coaching, and professional development opportunities
  • Manage OR budgets and resources while maintaining cost-effectiveness
  • Respond to and resolve operational issues, staff concerns, and patient-related matters
  • Participate in hospital-wide committees and quality improvement projects
