About The Position

A Level II Trauma Center in Central Florida is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to oversee perioperative operations across Surgical Services, including the Operating Room, CVOR, Anesthesia, and Sterile Processing departments. This leadership role is responsible for daily surgical operations, staffing management, physician collaboration, quality improvement initiatives, fiscal oversight, and operational performance across multiple perioperative service lines. The ideal candidate is a proven OR leader who can drive efficiency, support physician relationships, lead large multidisciplinary teams, and maintain exceptional patient care standards within a complex surgical environment.

Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
  • Minimum 3 years of recent acute care Operating Room RN experience
  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care OR leadership experience within the last year as: Full-time Charge Nurse OR Coordinator Nursing Administrative Supervisor Nurse Manager
  • Experience must be in an acute care hospital environment
  • Relief Charge Nurse experience does not qualify
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire

  • CNOR certification
  • Experience overseeing multiple perioperative departments
  • Cardiovascular surgery program exposure
  • Trauma center surgical leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily perioperative operations across OR, CVOR, Anesthesia, and Sterile Processing
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, labor utilization, and operational workflow
  • Support physician partnerships and interdisciplinary collaboration to maximize surgical throughput and patient satisfaction
  • Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, employee development, and corrective action processes
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
  • Oversee supply utilization, equipment management, and fiscal stewardship initiatives
  • Lead quality improvement programs focused on patient safety, efficiency, and clinical outcomes
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and implement process improvement strategies
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing perioperative culture focused on teamwork and service excellence
