About The Position

The Associate Merchant assists the Merchant team with implementing and executing product strategies aligned with business objectives and financial goals. The role supports the team through business analysis, product review, vendor meetings, and strategy execution. This position is based at Lowe’s headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina, where the corporate office provides opportunities to collaborate and access amenities including walking areas, food and coffee, a workout facility, and health check-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of the education requirement, if applicable.
• At least 1 year of professional or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specified portion of product assortments and groups.
• Support Merchant teams and execute tasks that advance strategic objectives.
• Partner with leaders and cross-functional partners to help build product assortments and product lines for specified categories.
• Analyze business trends, identify opportunities, and recommend improvements to Merchant teams.
• Help manage relationships and facilitate vendor interactions in collaboration with Merchant and Senior Merchant colleagues.
• Build and maintain a strong understanding of the industry.
• Partner on tactics and execution for specific categories.
• May make product decisions for assigned product category groups.
