About The Position

As an Associate Merchant, you will support category management by facilitating supplier negotiations, managing purchase orders, and resolving supplier-related issues to ensure accurate product setup across channels. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer experience through effective communication and merchandising strategies. Utilizing data analysis and financial insights, you will contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and promotional planning. This role requires strong vendor relationship management and a focus on operational excellence to drive category performance while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and standards. The team focuses on managing hardware categories including dehumidifiers, humidifiers, and ventilation products. It supports supplier relationships, negotiates agreements, and ensures accurate product setup across channels. Collaborating closely with merchants and vendors, the team drives category strategy, data analysis, and promotional activities to enhance customer experience. It also oversees budgeting, forecasting, and inventory planning to meet business goals. Members leverage technology and data insights to optimize processes and product offerings. The team values integrity, effective communication, and continuous improvement to deliver quality results aligned with company standards and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations to support category objectives.
  • Strong skills in data analysis and reporting to inform category strategy and financial planning.
  • Ability to manage purchase orders and resolve supplier issues efficiently within assigned categories.
  • Knowledge of category administration, including item setup, pricing, and modular assortment principles.
  • Aptitude for collaborating cross-functionally to execute customer-focused initiatives and promotional activities.
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital tools to enhance forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree OR 2 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area
