About The Position

Oscar is hiring an Associate, Member and Provider Optimization to join their Member & Provider Services Optimization team. Oscar is a health insurance company that utilizes a full stack technology platform and focuses on serving its members. The Associate will work cross-functionally with business and technical Oscar stakeholders, representing the needs and interests of the department in company-wide strategic projects and in solving business problems related to internal processes. The role involves leading the design, optimization, and implementation of processes and improvements to operations to support achieving organizational goals. Key responsibilities include collecting and documenting business requirements, building and managing project plans, documenting key project decisions, managing project governance, applying frameworks, analyzing data, and developing and communicating risk mitigation strategies across disparate projects and stakeholders simultaneously. The position reports into the Associate Director, MPSO - Optimization.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience in Health insurance
  • 2+ years of experience with end-to-end project management
  • 2+ years of experience designing and improving workflows and standing up accompanying operating and technical procedures
  • A bachelor's degree or 3+ years commensurate experience

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or other related field
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher
  • 2+ years of experience using data software such as Excel, SQL, Python or other data analytics tools

Responsibilities

  • Leads the end-to-end management of cross-functional implementations/projects, including project plan creation, stakeholder engagement, managing cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration, edge case mitigation, and on-time completion.
  • Evaluate overall departmental performance by creating, gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics and assisting in development of departmental metrics and implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboratively works with all relevant internal and external stakeholder groups to create proactive implementation, communications, and program strategies for successful change management and risk mitigation projects.
  • Mentor team members and promotes colleagues' growth and professional development.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
