About The Position

Oscar is hiring an Associate, Member and Provider Initiatives to join their MPSO Initiatives team. Oscar is a health insurance company that utilizes a full stack technology platform and focuses on serving its members. The Associate will work with internal and external Oscar stakeholders, representing the needs and interests of the department in company-wide initiatives. The role requires project management and implementation skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders concurrently. The position is based in the Tempe, Arizona office and requires a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in-office per week, including mandatory in-office days on Thursdays for team meetings and events. The other two office days are flexible.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in program management
  • 2+ years of experience delivering projects/programs independently and within a team environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced operations environment
  • Successfully executed initiatives: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processes associated with program rollout and ongoing support

  • Master's Degree
  • PMP Certifications or Program Management Certifications
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certifications
  • Healthcare experience (Health Insurance, Health Systems, or Healthcare Consulting)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end management of cross-functional implementations and projects, including project plan creation, stakeholder engagement, and managing cross-functional relationships to drive collaboration. This also includes edge case mitigation and on-time completion.
  • Evaluate overall departmental performance by creating, gathering, and analyzing data and metrics, and assisting in the development of departmental metrics and implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Collaboratively work with all relevant internal and external stakeholder groups to create proactive implementation, communications, and program strategies for successful change management and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Ensure department readiness for new initiatives by reviewing plan documents and technical requirements to assess impact on operations, and developing knowledge management resources, user workflows, and escalation pathways.
  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
