About The Position
West Cancer Center & Research Institute is seeking an Associate Medical Director of Interventional Radiology to join their team in Germantown, TN. This is a full-time position within a unique and expanding private group that represents a model for the future of a sustainable hybrid practice. The role involves outpatient oncologic radiology, with the Associate Medical Director working under the Medical Director of Radiology. The practice offers a comprehensive continuum of care in adult cancer treatment and research, with a strong focus on physician-driven decisions. The radiology division performs a broad range of outpatient IR procedures and supports tumor boards and research initiatives. The ideal candidate will enjoy a combination of diagnostic and interventional radiology, recognizing the synergy between the two disciplines.
Requirements
- MD/DO degree.
- Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Interventional Radiology.
- Fellows are welcome to apply.
- Comfortable with reading/learning most imaging modalities: CT, MRI, US, PET/CT, and plain film.
- Ability to enjoy a combination of diagnostic and interventional roles.

- Specialty in IR with 30% Diagnostic.
Responsibilities
- Perform 70% Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures, including Y90, embolizations, tumor ablation, kyphoplasty, nerve ablation, and biliary/renal/venous stenting.
- Conduct 30% diagnostic radiology, including reading CT, MRI, US, PET/CT, and plain film.
- Participate in tumor boards.
- Provide research image-interpretation support.
- Address patient concerns and triage during home "pager" call (every other week).
- Collaborate with other IR/DR physicians, Diagnostic Radiologists, and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
