Associate Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer

Boeing•Berkeley, MO

About The Position

The Boeing Test Operations and Engineering (TO&E) team in Berkeley, Missouri, is seeking an Associate Mechanical Systems Design & Analysis Engineer for its Instrumentation Installation Design group, supporting flight test programs. The role focuses on synthesizing requirements and creating engineering definitions, 3D models, 2D drawings, and model-based definitions for mechanical hardware used to install flight test data systems. Because instrumentation may be located throughout an aircraft, the work offers exposure to different areas of the platform. Instrumentation installation designers participate throughout the design cycle, from requirements definition and layouts through coordination with electrical designers, preliminary design reviews, engineering release, coordination with manufacturing engineers and suppliers, occasional shipside support, and incorporation of changes. The engineer will support Saint Louis production programs across multiple platforms and may support installations at the assembly line, at remote U.S. locations, or internationally. The position requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering focused on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, or Material Sciences; experience in mechanical design; and experience with a CAD design tool such as Siemens NX or CATIA. Applicants must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance and program access, both of which have U.S. citizenship requirements. The position also requires compliance with U.S. export control requirements and the company's Conflict of Interest assessment process. Boeing will not sponsor employment visas. The role is not safety sensitive and is not contingent upon a program award. The summary pay range is $85,000–$115,000. Relocation may be offered based on candidate eligibility. Eligible employees may enroll in benefit programs that generally include health insurance, flexible spending and health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and programs providing paid and unpaid time away from work. Available programs may vary based on eligibility factors.
