About The Position

The Associate Mechanical Engineer works within a multifunctional hangar team to develop engineering solutions for aircraft life-cycle sustainment. The role involves designing, modifying, and repairing aircraft structures, mechanical systems, and mission equipment, while supporting the transition from engineering design to manufacturing and installation. The engineer applies structural analysis and repair design skills to solve problems of varying complexity, manage concurrent tasks, and make decisive recommendations. Collaboration with aircraft mechanics, manufacturing, program management, customer representatives, and other engineering disciplines is required. The engineer must understand customer needs and communicate engineering rationale effectively across technical and non-technical interactions. The position is based in Greenville, Texas, and follows a 9/80 schedule. Work takes place in aircraft hangar and manufacturing environments and may involve accessing confined aircraft spaces, including fuel tanks, wings, and fuselages, with appropriate safety gear. Work schedules may be flexible as mission requirements dictate. The employee must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
