The Associate Mechanical Engineer, MOD is responsible for the design and application of solutions using engineering fundamentals and established practices, procedures, and guidelines. The position will engage and be a critical link in the project life cycle, providing technical support, task management, delivery, and innovation in the areas of mechanical engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering – Mechanical or a closely related field – Required.
  • 0 - 2 years experience in the elevator industry or similar industry.
  • 0 - 2 years experience working with CAD Software.
  • Strong interpersonal Communication Skills (Verbal and Written, Technical Report Writing).
  • Communicate effectively with all internal engineering teams, engineering management (internal escalation), and customers.
  • Maintains positive and professional attitude in a highly demanding environment.
  • Computer Skills – Microsoft Office, SAP.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical System Design and Analysis.
  • Knowledge of Architectural/Structural Drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Workload Management: Effectively manage a large workload of projects with predefined contract requirements. Meet and exceed Service Level Agreement requirements.
  • Deliverable Management: Accomplish specified technical objectives on time and to customers’ expectations.
  • Engineering Excellence: Deliver high-quality, reliable solutions that deliver meaningful customer value and create impactful experiences.
  • Perform Application Engineering activities.
  • Develop and finalize system designs, calculations, and component selections using engineering fundamentals, applicable codes, and company standards.
  • Apply established technical solutions and modify designs to meet project-specific requirements, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical topics across design, manufacturing, and installation to ensure reliable outcomes.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects to meet contract requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute engineering tasks to ensure timely completion of drawings, submittals, change orders, and release-to-manufacturing.
  • Maintain accountability for the accuracy, quality, and completeness of all technical documentation and deliverables.
  • Develop, analyze, and revise custom mechanical layouts and component designs in accordance with SEC standards and code requirements.
  • Perform technical evaluations (including FEA where applicable) and generate accurate material sales orders.
  • Coordinate with field teams and cross-functional partners to support feasibility assessments, risk analysis, document control, and project execution.
